My name is Cynthia Windell. I am 50 years old, and I love to run and swim. I live in Riverside, California with my husband Ron. Our Son Ryan is a 21-year-old Marine currently serving a seven-month deployment in Iraq. I have been running for about 25 years, but I didn't start running distances until five years ago. I have always wanted to run for a cause, and when I saw the article in MarineParents.com about raising money for our Marines, I knew what my purpose was – to earn money for those who are protecting our freedom; those who give so much and ask for so little in return.
